Dan & Michelle have been married for almost 8 years and are the parents of two incredible and amusing little boys: Vaughn, & Royce. As a family they love outdoor activities, jamming to music, living room dance parties, all things sports, and ice cream.
Dan has been the youth pastor at the Red Bluff Vineyard since 2006. Michelle came on board a couple years later. The Ackley’s are passionate about missions both international and local. They have served in Ecuador, India, Czech Republic, and China. They feel blessed to have been called to serve the youth of Red Bluff both in a pastoral role and as employees at Red Bluff High School.
Michelle – Wife, Mother, & Dancing Queen
Michelle was born in Southern California to her loving Christian parents and older sister. Her childhood mostly revolved around church and ballet. By her senior year in high school God made it very clear He wanted her to attend California Baptist University rather than pursue a career with ballet. Willingly, she left ballet behind and went to CBU where her faith was cultivated and she learned what it meant to truly be a follow of Christ. While at CBU, Michelle developed a passion for missions and served on a team to India. After graduating with her BA in History and minor in Global Studies in 2006, Michelle served overseas with the International Mission Board in the Czech Republic doing friendship evangelism and communications work.
After marrying Dan and settling into life in Red Bluff, Michelle received her Masters in Educational Counseling from National University in 2012, and is currently a High School Counselor at Red Bluff High School. She loves helping students find their purpose and passions for their futures both at the high school and at the Vineyard co-leading the youth group with Dan. Michelle also uses her love of Jesus and dance to teach ballet at Selah Dance Academy in Red Bluff.

Currently Dan teaches American Government and Advanced Placement (AP) Economics at Red Bluff High School where he also coaches football. Dan is incredibly honored to have been called to help grow and inspire young people in their relationship with God, and in their academic and social lives.
Aside from a very busy work life, Dan loves to spend time with his family however and whenever. He also loves playing guitar, writing worship songs, drinking coffee, and reading. Like his wife, Dan is extremely passionate about global and local missions, and considers it a blessing to have been called to serve the Kingdom in a variety of different ways internationally and locally. “It seems like every time I think I’m going to slow down, God finds another way to use me”.
