Linda and Jerry are both a testimony to the power of the gospel, the love of God, and the beautiful redemption found in the kingdom of God! Linda serves as our Administrative Assistant and Jerry is on the Elder’s Board.
Linda came to the Vineyard in 1992, in the midst of a brutal divorce and custody battle. She was immediately “adopted” by Katie Knight, loved and welcomed into our community. The Knights loved her, cleaned her all up, and helped her get on her feet. At that time, Linda remembers that God was doing a lot of house cleaning in her life, a lot of healing, all in the Red Bluff Vineyard community (and a few Vineyard Conferences in Anaheim, CA).
Early on, Linda started volunteering in the office and in 1993, she started doing administrative work like developing and printing the church bulletin.
Linda and Jerry met in 1995 in their Core Group and were married in 1999, on Easter Sunday to be exact! It was also the first day that the Red Bluff Vineyard met at our current location on the corner of Walnut and Jackson.
In 2013, Linda become the Administrative Assistant, after watching Jan Simmons and Katie Knight do such a great job in previous years! Linda states, “I have done the Bulletin all these years, and that job grew into the organized chaos that it is today.” She also teaches in the 2-5 grade classroom, as well as helps organize fund-raising events, etc.
Together, Jerry and Linda have three grown boys (Rusty, Zach, and Kevin), two daughter-in-laws (Meghan and Ali), and a three year old grandson, Connor. They love to camp, ride quads, and hike with their yellow lab, Chase. Linda loves Pinterest, crafts, food and baking, shopping, movies, reading, and playing Scrabble. She’s also interested in nutrition and fitness, though she claims to be newbie. She loves, loves, loves to travel and make arrangements for flights, accommodations, excursions, etc. Maybe she should be a travel agent instead of her other job, cleaning teeth. Nah… she’s right where God wants her!
