In the Book of Acts, Jesus said the following:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere– in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 NLT)

We believe that we are called to partner with the Holy Spirit and join God’s mission of making Jesus known both here in Red Bluff as well as around the world. Therefore, we participate in both local, translocal, and international missional work!

Local

Feeding the Poor and the Hungry Mon-Fri at Noon in the Vineyard Café. The Vineyard has provided meals to those in need for almost 20 years in partnership with The Lord’s Table and North Valley Baptist Church.

Meals are provided for an average of 50 people a day through the generous support of volunteers who cook, clean, and donate food throughout the year. If you are interested in supporting this program or volunteering, please contact the church office @ 527-2449.

China

Currently, in China, the gospel is spreading faster than anywhere else in the world! But there are still 1.3 billion people who don’t know Christ.

Imagine if no one in the entire U.S. population knew Christ. Now multiply that amount by four. That’s the massive number of people in China who still need to hear about God’s love!

Ecuador

The Vineyard has been involved with FOR HIS CHILDREN – ECUADOR for 12 years. Each year, a team of 10-18 travels to Quito and Latacunga to support the precious children in their care, as well as minister to staff and the local community. We have been privileged to paint, lay tile, build walls, dig trenches, change diapers, feed and play with children of all ages, and make many new friends.

In Latacunga we have been blessed to support the local Senior Citizen community financially and emotionally. On our trips to the home in Latacunga every effort is made to visit the seniors, have lunch with them, dance with them and love them.

Our Vineyard also supports the Verbo Church in Cuenca, Ecuador. Friends and pastors, John and Marilyn Guido provide care to the community through their medical clinics, orphanage and radio ministry. Verbo Ministries Cuenca began in 1987. Since then we have seen the Lord take a small group of twenty new believers and grow it into a thriving congregation of over 2,000, with many effective ministries impacting the city and region. These include:

  • Three Churches in the metropolitan area with a wide variety of family oriented ministries.
  • La Esperanza Children’s Home
  • Radio Familia – F.M. radio station
  • Verbo Christian School – Kindergarten through High School
  • Fundation Hogar’s 10 bed hospital and physical therapy center
  • Language Institute
  • Global Engagement Center – Taylor University
  • International short-term medical outreach – Global Health Outreach
  • Verbo School of Ministry

We’ve also planted 7 Churches in different cities in both Ecuador and Peru. You can find out more about Verbo at www.verbocuenca.org.
