Starting this Sunday, we are going to be kicking off our new sermon series on “Risky Commitments”.

Whether we like it or not, our lives are filled with risky commitments. They’re decisions we have to make with out knowing ALL of the information and we will not always be assured of the outcome we want! Yet, without risky commitments, we will never grow, never find out what it was that we were really desiring, nor will we see success in our lives!

Even more than that, as followers of Jesus, Jesus is always asking us to make risky commitments. Throughout the gospels, we see Jesus challenging His disciples to see how far they would go to follow Him and seek His kingdom! Whether it was asking Peter to throw out his net into the water after he had caught nothing the whole day, or whether it was asking the disciples to feed 5000 people with what they thought could only feed a few families! Even just the simple invitation to follow Him. Over and over again we see Jesus inviting people into action for the kingdom.

So over the next month we will be looking at making commitments to:

  1. Community
  2. Doing the stuff w/ Mike Turrigiano
  3. Growth
  4. Sharing our Faith

We are excited and can’t wait to see what Jesus has in store for us! God might already be revealing different commitments he’s asking you to take! The good news is you don’t have to do it alone! This is what the church is for! We’re taking this journey together.

You can do this by signing up for one of our core groups which start next month, or by plugging into one of our serving teams! No matter who you are, or where you’re from, there’s a place for you here at the Vineyard! We love people and we love doing life together!

So join us this Sunday as we begin our series! Invite a friend or family member to come along too! You never know what God can do through a simple invitation!

Blessings,

Pastor Wes
